Don't blink, tropical storm Chantal may be headed our way by the weekend. I hope it passes us by. I need my sunshine. It makes me happy!

Hopefully it'll make a turn NW before that happens, or so they say at this point.

According to Ensemble Models, it may track south of Cuba, or between Fl and Cuba, or just hit the southern tip of Fl, or go south of us over Naples, or hit us, or go just north of us and get Tampa, or further north and get the panhandle, or Jacksonville, or the north coast of Ga., or southern S.C., or northern S.C..

Phew! I think the weathermen have all bases covered!

This thing is still 4-5 days out folks. I assume this is some people's first Florida summer. No sense getting all worked up over every potential storm. In a busy season we'll have 3or 4 of these per month to track.

I'm sure not getting my hurricane shutters out yet! If we have to put them up they will stay up until the end of the season so I am not doing it until I have to. I don't like living in a cave. This is our third season so now I'm a little more used to how this works. Listen to the weather 24/7 and get the crap scared out of you or just keep an eye, check the track periodically then If necessary panic. LOL

Wish it would. While doesn't do much for humidity, but at least it is not 90+ degrees.

Exactly! Some people get all excited just by hearing the word storm, not to mention hurricane.

Where I am located right now we had 40 knot winds just 5 minutes ago, no big deal.

I wouldn't worry about putting up shutters either unless you got a direct hit by a category 2 or higher hurricane.
