Smart Meter Complaints | EMF Safety Network This is a site you can read and see people have had problems with their electrical equipment, bills increasing, etc after installation of smart meters.

I'm just saying watch your health and keep an eye on your bills.

Thanks for the concern, but I can't really say I'm too caught up in the hype about Smart Meters. We're bombarded by EMFs from numerous sources; microwaves, cell phones, cordless phones, WiFi, and on and on . Heck, even my thermostat is WiFi. Personally, I just think Smart Meters are just the latest craze because they're the newest on the scene. It won't be long before something else grabs the attention away from them.

In the mean time, I think I'll change my pool pump to run overnight and see if that makes a difference in my elec. bill. I don't know if FPL is automatically charging different rates at different times or not. If they are, I may also change my AC to cool the house down more first thing in the morning too.

Well, I am not a hype kind of person. The only reason I even found out about this was because I started to get horrible headaches, daily and Dr's couldn't find out what was wrong. Also I started not to be able to sleep at night. If it wasn't for that, I would have had no idea. The difference in WiFi,etc is just that it is for a specific. The smart meters are small bursts 24/7. It never stops.

Also, now that your data is being transmitted digitally, a hacker can easily pull up in front of your house and hack into your system and be able to collect data. To me that was pretty scary.

When I bought my frig the guy at Best Buy told me soon the electric companies will be reporting to the gov, people who have old appliances and eventually will be fined because they use too much electricity.

Call FPL and ask them if they are charging different rates AM/PM.....they are. It is actually peak vs non peak.
