Finally got my dock started. Decided to go with 8' x 30'. Just need a boat now.

Still need to strip the forms and install bumper pilings and step.

Wow, looks like you need access for a crane to get in your back yard. Say good bye to all the sprinkler lines and other buried stuff. I guess it's a small price to pay for a nice dock and lift. It really looks good so far. Good luck

Access isn't an issue because they usually build the docks from a barge. (They go by our house very regularly so I'm sure you've seen them, too.) Also, MCG casts their dock slabs 'on site' but I think all the others around here use pre-cast slabs.

Regarding the structure and appearance of docks in PGI....they are required to be "freestanding and made of concrete", so it seems there is a lot of leeway (i.e., they could be colored, painted or even made of pavers.) I saw a new house recently that had a new dock with pavers as a top finish, so I was curious about that.
