I assembled a Rocky's EZ Roller Pool cover reel and need two holes drilled in my river rock covered pool area to install the anchors.

I would rent the proper drill, buy the proper bit and do it myself. However, the cost of that should be close to paying someone who has the tools and bit and has performed this operation.

I'd rather put cash in that persons pocket. Any recommendations?

No recommendation

But I will point out its projects like this that have allowed my tool collection to grow.

Show me yours and I'll show you mine!

You could probably rent the drill and bit.

What are those flat round white caps that you screw on and off, on the concrete/deck right by the pool skimmer called?

The pool is a learning curve for me and I don't know most of the pool language yet.

Ok..but it's a short story!

Let's say I don't want to take the chance of drilling into my nice river rock lanai and getting the holes wrong...willing to pay a professional to do it right..how's that!

Ky,

I have battery operated drills and literally 4 cases of drill bits. I have not researched it..but I would ASSUME, a hammer drill with masonry bit would be needed. Then, my concern is how to insert the threaded anchor and make it stick in concrete without messing up the threads. If I put a liquid nails or hydroloc cement in the hole..it might oz over threads.

I was thinking of calling the reel company for their suggestions if I can't find someone who has done this.

Thanks!

That's a very good reason to have someone else do it for you.

But if you decide to do it yourself this is what you will need.Drop-In Anchors - Concrete Fasteners.com

Just be sure everything is stainless and put anti seize on the threads
