been here 3 years + and never found anything resembling a GOOD Chinese. I rather eat PF Changs from the supermarket

much as I hate to say the 'its better in.......' stuff

the Chinese in England is far better...........if you have never had crispy duck in pancakes you haven't lived

When I was there in Oct. I could not find any good Chinese restaurants much less one that delivered.
Search on this site you will find mention of one in PC I believe but do not know if they deliver.
Chinese is my go to carry out food and I hope I can find a good place. That and a good micro brewery.
Good luck.

If you find a good please pass the info on here.

Good luck! Been searching for almost three years now and haven't found any Chinese food, carry-out or dine-in, that I would consider "good" here.

Took 2 woofers to St Pete yesterday for refoaming, and the speaker place turned out to be a block from Mazzaro's Italian Market. Scored an awesome Italian combo sub, and an Alps Soppresata to bring home. I know St Pete is too far to drive for a sub, but....

So chinese food, i.e. lo mein, chicken w/broccoli, general tso's, wonton soup, etc, can that taste that much different than up north? Those are the basic dishes. Fried rice, imo, tastes different from place to place. No two restaurants seem to make it taste the same.

dcp, I can tell you there is a world of difference from the DC area and in PC/PG, not even close.
As far as between San Diego and the DC area not so much difference, except for hot and sour soup.

Sub Shops is another thing hard to find. But it also depends on what kind of sub you are looking for. I have a couple of favorites in the area. For me the best meatball sub in the area is Cozy Cafe on Bayshore Rd. the meatballs are homemade and the taste is great.
