We are so excited to have a contract in on a house and cannot wait to move to Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda. About the only thing that really needs to be changed are the orange walls in every room. Does anyone have any recommendations for painters? Good experiences? Bad experiences?

I'll be waiting to hear as well. We had a lime green master with master bath. The walls, trim, ceiling and the door. Was like a Key Lime Nightmare! I took care of the master but the fairly large bath is still green. Sort of grows on us by now though.
Have other walls and maybe an outside job to do as well.
Orange? I think that has to go. Have you considered Green?

Accu Floor and remodel, Bo, 253-241-3830. He painted my entire home in North Port and I think others on here have used him as well. He comes with my highest recommendation. He's very honest, his prices are extremely reasonable and he does an excellent job. Tell him Shannon sent you, he'll take care of you.

We may have you beat on the lime green - the garage in this house is fluorescent green/iridescent green. Very bright and colorful. That needs to go also.
My husband says he sent you a DM about home monitoring.

I can second SoFLGal's recommendation. They painted the exterior of my house a couple weeks ago. Did a good job came when they said (which is rare it seems with local contractors) and finished quickly.

We hired Jason Hartzell to do interior (2013) and exterior painting (2014) on our rental in PG. He is licensed and insured. Our property manager liked his work and wants to hire him for more jobs too. His phone is 941-258-0285 and email is jasonhartzellpainting@Hotmail.com. We were quite happy with him.

Just curious how much does it normally cost to hire a professional to have the interior painted on an average 3/2 home around 1600 sqft? Just wondering what you might expect to pay in this area to hire a professional to do the work VS doing the painting yourself.

Around $1650 for 1600 sq ft interior. That includes all doors and trim and one coat of paint.

I'm assuming that doesn't include either the paint or primer.
