Thanks, all. Really looking forwards to it. But it is odd to see empty closets, empty chests, boxes in a room as opposed to furniture. And after almost 30 years in one place, I have to admit to some mixed feelings to the move. But we had temps last week pushing 100 with 80% humidity, then the wind shifted, with dust blowing up off Sonora, southwest Texas. So we are ready to begin the next part of our lives in our new home in PC.

Not yet, still have the trip with the wife and 3 pups. The three dogs haven't traveled further than the groomers' house. Planning on a lot of Dramamine for the pups.

Well, figured we wouldn't need all the truck. Wrong! Filled that sucker UP. Picked up late yesterday, headed that way. Now just put the lawn chairs, etc on the trailer, dogs and wife in the car, and we are out of here.

Actually cooler here than back in Denton, TX (DFW). Setting on the lanai in our home after the trip, enjoying the sunrise, listening to the birds and watching the pups chase a lizard. Mighty hunters are these.

But dang, that storm last night. We're driving into PC on 75 when it hit, had to bail and dang near wrecked, couldn't even see the road.

Welcome! It's not the best thing to be driving in when it rains hard. Glad you made it safe....
