I just became aware of this technique for a B&E of a garage with electric door opener.

The fix is actually faster than the time it takes to watch the video.

If I am repeating something that was on here a few years back, I apologize.

My opener doesn't have an overhead track but is attached to the torsion bar to one side of the door making it impossible for someone to do that to my door. The other thing I noticed in the video is that the doors they did this to also has windows allowing you to see the release. I'm not going to say impossible but without a window you would need to be very very lucky to hit the release...but that sure is an easy fix
