Even though I live in Port Charlotte, I drive to North Port Animal Hospital. I have used them ever since I have lived in Florida, over 10.5 years. They spayed my current dog and took good care of my previous dog. And I just adopted another Beagle and will be taking her to North Port Animal Hospital too. I like them and I trust them.

In case anyone is interested I just left Dr. Groves office and found a wonderful vet in North Port. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Dr. Fiore at Price and Sumpter in North Port. It took her 2 minutes to diagnose a problem that Dr. Grove couldn't find after $3,000 in medical care. Dr. Grove is a nice man but upcharges everyone for Allergy test and other voodoo vet practices. He sold us food that contained ingriedients that the allergy test said the dog was allergic to. He prescribed one medication that caused another medication to not work. This prevented an eye scratch from properly healing. He wanted to do eye surgery which caused us to obtain a second opinion. The eye healed great after the medication was discontinued. He is a witch doctor of a vet. Nice staff, but awful vet.

We have been taking our dog to North Port Animal hospital since we moved here 6 years ago. I like them a lot. Compassionate and caring and resonable on their prices.

I recommend Dr. Groves. Yes, he's a little expensive, but he gives fantastic care and provides medical/surgical services that only he is licensed to do in the area. His staff is caring, knowledgeable and supportive. He has caught problems with my dogs that aren't apparent to the naked eye and corrected them before they became more costly issues.

We do too. They are a little on the pricey side but local and friendly. We sometimes take the new dogs to some place in Arcadia since that is the vet the adoption place we got them from uses....much cheaper and also great, but a 30min drive. Have also used the animal hospital by the mall because our old dog had a problem on a Sunday...prices weren't too bad for an emergency vet and an overnight stay.
