I have never been to The Orange House. Guess I'll have to try it out. Do they have live music?

Yes, often.

Look for Georgie K (guitar & vocals) and Doug Cassens (sax).

George's voice is like buttah!

(It is, seriously, fantastic, as is his guitar playing. He covers a lot of traditional standards.)

Its on Taylor Avenue. If you know where the Farmer's market is on Saturdays, it is on the other side of Olympia and Taylor - you can't miss it - it's Orange.

Is the Orange House new? It's amazing how many cool places are tucked away in such a little town. Still so many I haven't been to yet. Mark

Bob & Ruth (the owners) have transformed the place. Bob's a master carpenter, and did wonders with the bar itself (ask him how many times he sanded it and the # of coats of varnish applied!), and since he also handles kitchen duties, he makes a mean Greek recipe lamb chop. Ruth has incredible wine knowledge and the offerings are voluminous and fairly priced. Both work very hard and take care of their guests. It is my favorite place in PG, hands down.

Food offerings are small plates, perfect for a nibble. We usually get several small plates and call it dinner. Some nights they have specials, be it lamb chops, steak, etc.

Big House if you read this, fyi they sell ice cold Yuengling! I'd highly recommend pairing that with the prosciutto-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese.

More to the point of the thread--how's the beer??? What brews would you folks who've been there recommend trying? Will be down there shortly and want to give it a whirl.

SNJE17, I have only had the IPA at Fat Point and it is pretty good. If you check there are a lot of places that serve Fat Point as well as other craft beers.
