Not sure why we got the deal. We have not been in Harrah's in years. Although we still have players cards. When we go to Jersey, we like Borgata. In fact, we plan on taking the Jitney over to the Borgata, one day while we are there.

I ignore those- I can't remember getting one from the PC Honda dealers, but we have fro other dealers- there is one that sends a key attached to its ads, and supposedly this key *might* fit to one of their new cars, in which case you win that car. But being the Skeptical Suzy that I am, I figure this falls under the category of "if it sounds too good to be true...." and I toss both the ad and the key.

It's possible, I suppose that one miight win a $5.00 gift certificate to a big box store, but winning a car or even a significant discount on a new car? IMO that happening has about the same odds as winning the lottery and in the meantime, you've presented yourself to the car dealer for them to work you over trying to get you to buy a car.

Sort of like timeshare sales.

I suggest you google with keywords from the 'ticket' that you have, but remove reference to Port Charlotte Honda. Replace with 'dealer'. You will find that many dealerships in the country use the same 'contest' for their marketing. There is a 3rd party firm that puts together these various contests and the only difference is each dealer's name/address gets attached to the cards.

Just do some google research and you will find what happened to other people that thought they had the 'winning ticket'. Do NOT travel from out of area with that ticket thinking it's a winner. Heck, you would be wasting your time if you live in Port Charlotte and took a half hour out of your day to go over there with that scam. It's just a marketing technique they use to get people coming to them.

If you call them they are going to steer you in to come in person. They are trained on this.

If you fall for this, you will be real, real upset if you travel from out of state. Really - google now. You must read what others went through so you will realize that you aren't some special winner.

Looks like I won $5,000 too! Somehow I'm not even curious enough to see if it's for real.

Maybe I'll go around the neighborhood on trash/recycling day and pick everyone's tickets out of the recycling bins. Boy, I'll be rich!!! There's got to be bunches of $5,000 winners in there!
