Ok, folks. Need some help. My primary care physician has moved on, pursuing 'other endeavors'. Need a new doctor. Any suggestions for a good family doctor, North Port, PC, PG area? Over 65 so that is a factor.

Thanks in advance.

I just started using Dr. Ravid in PG. He takes Medicare patients.
His office is next to the Hospital on Rte. 17.
Office number is 941-505-2100.
Very nice office staff and he seems very good.
He was recommended to me by my real estate guy. Other that that no affiliation with him.

Can we say who we would NOT recommend? Just want to check as one time I posted about an issue I had with a business and it was taken down.

Since this is a public forum I would be very hesitant to mention who I would NOT recommend because of liability. In the alternative, you could request that members message you privately.

We also use Millenium Group. When you go in, if you haven't already selected who you prefer, they have a resume list of many doctors that are a part of their group, and have resumes for each one. You can read about them, where they received degrees from, and what they specialize in as well - if you need that. So you can get the doctor of your choice. The main office is in Port Charlotte, but they have satellite facilities, and clinic. They also do lab work right in their office, and have a pharmacy right there to fill your prescription if you choose. They also take most type of insurance.
I had a bad burn one day, and went to their emergency clinic which is on Tamiami, and they took me right in - far faster than going to the emergency room, and they have doctors on staff. They have relations ships with many other specialty practices, and can recommend specialists (if they don't have them already on staff), like at the cancer center, and others.

Good Luck!!

I think is fine to mention who you would not use as long as you don't go into the reasons why.

The liability only comes in if you accuse them of something.

And if it ISN'T true. If your information is true you should not need to worry about passing along truth!
