We don't have an underwater light, but last year we had the snook light (post light) on while we sat at the dock. All was pretty calm. Wife walked up to the house and I called up to her to turn off the light as I wanted to enjoy the night sky.

The light went out and about 20 seconds later all hell broke loose. Huge splashes all around the dock.

I think when the light went out, the baitfish scattered and the predators made a last chance swipe at a late night meal. Wild!
