We plan to sell our Pursuit CC boat. Does anyone have experience in this, did you sell on your own, consignment or trade in. Would appreciate your input

I sold my boat using Craigs List. Sold within a week. It was a 22ft Seahunt CC.

I would try selling it myself via Craigslist, Boattrader, or TheHullTruth first. If that didn't pan out after a few weeks, then I would go the broker route. I think a trade-in would be my last choice.

Default selling a boat in PG

Well, your feedback is encouraging. I was concerned that financing would be a problem for some potential buyers. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try Craiglist and the others mentioned. Need to make room for a new boat!

100% absolutely sell it yourself! I would only pay a boat broker to sell if it were a difficult boat to sell (i.e. my 36ft cruiser that took a year to sell) Don't pay to put it on any sites. Just use facebook and craigslist.

And one VERY important item: NO sea trials without a deposit! If it goes well, the sale is final. You'd be amazed how many people will ask for a sea trial just to "go for a boat ride". You don't have time for that! If they're serious, they'll have no problem putting down $500 deposit.

craigslist or the hull truth boat classifieds. the latter has higher quality boats, it's where i found mine. i'm guessing yours, as a pursuit, is well cared for. those are nice boats.

be sure to do yourself a favor: when you photograph it, take great pictures and make sure it's **** n' span. no dirty floors, leaves sprinkled here & there, clutter removed and anything on boat neatly organized. it really, really makes a difference in presentation. the seller of my used but new-to-me boat did exactly that, and it showed not only pride of ownership in the photos, but once seeing it in person the actual product was exactly as represented.

Let me guess....Mr. Clean N' span??

Couldn't agree more about making the boat clean and presentable. When I was shopping around for boats and saw one cluttered up my thoughts would be, "If they can't take the time to clean and straighten the boat to sell it, how much effort did they put into properly maintaining it?".

Not allowed to say "pissed". The correct terminology would be "wet myself". lol
