I've never flown Allegiant out of Punta Gorda. It's a 7am flight, ugh. They say we need to be there 2-2.5 hours before flight. Can anyone tell me if this is true? Does anyone know if they have TSA Precheck at Punta Gorda Airport? Thanks Dorothy

It's a small airport, that didn't have pre-check when we flew out a while back. Lines do move fairly quick since Allegiant and Frontier are the only major carriers.

Appreciate reply. How early before flight did you get there? Is there enough long term parking close by? Thanks again Dorothy.

About 1.5 hrs ahead. We had a rental car, so do not know about parking, but there were plenty of areas. A quick check on Allegiant and it shows they now do pre-check, not sure if the airport does though. TSA site wasn't totally clear. Safe travels.

Just recently flew with Allegiant and was very happy with pricing, service and overall experience. They have a TSA Precheck line, but was not open as there were not that many folks in line.

I have TSA Precheck and have not gone through standard security in years. I got dinged for my shoes, belt and some other things based on me being so accustomed to not needing to worry about it.

I had a 7am flight and got there at about 5am and was 2nd in line for security. Again, very please with the Punta Gorda Airport and Allegiant.

I'm hoping they add service to and from Atlantic City. As of now Spirit to Fort Meyers is the only option we have.

Trenton is obviously not as close as AC , but that's another option.
