I was just down and drove over to the site and walked around. Nothing much going on, except for the construction of the low to the water walkway or pier going out in the Peace River next to the south bound side of the RT 41 bridge.

Their website has been updated and now shows renderings of the condo interiors. The interiors look very upscale as would be expected at this price point. The Sunseeker FB page stated that they will be announcing a ground breaking date shortly.

According to today's Charlotte Sun, the County turned down their final site plans last night. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I'm curious to know the interest in sales of these units. Bust or boom will be known soon I'm guessing.

Not enough money donated to their re-election campaigns?

In order for Allegiant to build 90ft high, they had to deed an easement to the county and build the connecting harborwalk on their property. Allegiant initially agreed to do so because they want the 90ft tall buildings, but at the last minute declined to do so, which is why the county rejected the site plan. I'm sure it will eventually get the green light after back & forth negotiations.
