Boundary Blvd is the outer circle and only connects at the 4 Boulevard (NSE&W) jucntions
Rotonda Circle is the inner circle and does run parallel to Boundary. It has all the feeder roads off of it.

Each quarter is divided into sub divisions
Blvd S to E has State Parkland and Oakland Hills
E to N is Pebble Creek and Pinehurst
N to W is Broadmoor and Long Meadow Plus a small seperate 3 acre tract called Eagles Preserve
W to S is White Marsh and Pine Valley

Oakland Hills is the oldest and actually has underground power.
Pine Valley is the 'newest' and least developed.

All of Oakland Hills and Pebble creek are in flood zones
Most of Pinehurst and Broadmoor are NOT
Almost all of Long meadow is
Most of White Marsh is NOT
99% of Pine Valley is.........

There's a lot of interesting history online about Rotonda West if you want to learn more just google some old articles.

Apparently, the original development plan sold buyers on Gulf access with the canals but they never got the environmental permits which caused the development to stall for many years and the commercial piece in the center never developed like it was originally envisioned.

If you go to google maps and zoom in, you can see the canals cut in the swaths south of the circle in the abandoned part of the development that is now state land.

My wife is an Englewood-area history buff and there is a LOT of good stuff on Rotonda! Lets just say, I'm glad I wasn't around for that initial "investment opportunity of a lifetime"! lol
