Harpoon Harry's being kicked out after 30 years? The owners feeling the pressure to remodel Fisherman's Village with the Sunseeker resort coming?

I believe the attorneys are battling it out now. The owners of the Village apparently raised the rent at Harpoon Harry’s astronomically so the fight is on. Pretty obvious that ownership wants to do something else with the property now that Sunseekers is coming in.

The local newspaper has reported that those holding time share leases for the residential condos over the shops have not been allowed back in to their units since Hurricane Irma in Sept of 2017.

How can they do that? Giving them their money back?

"Change is the key word at Fishermen’s Village this last year or so, and with change comes sacrifice ... and maybe a little controversy."

Some answers here: What's going on at Fishermen's Village?

Oh god...please don't turn Harpoon Harry's into waterfront condos. Any idea what their plan is? I'll be very sad! I love Harpoon's.

"Allen said they are now focusing on Phase II improvements that will include additional residential units and hotel rooms, shops, retail and marina facilities."

Mike, they have golf carts now to ferry people from the parking lot to HH for those that have mobility issues. They had too many "close calls" with vehicles vs pedestrians on the narrow driveway going out to HH's, so they shut it down to vehicle traffic (probably for the best)
