Good Home Builder with Reasonable Pricing in PC/Rotonda/Englewood? (Port Charlotte: HOA, buy)

Hi All,

My wife and I really like the Port Charlotte, East Englewood and Rotonda West general area. We are searching for a home builder that is reasonably priced but still offers an amount of quality. A 3/2/2 in the 1500 to 1800 sq ft range for $230K to $250K including the lot is what we are seeking. We prefer Rotonda West HOA area, the northern parts closer to Englewood Beach but not necessarily needed.

Has anyone had a home built lately that you are satified with the builder and the final product?

Best builder in the said area is Peter Ide, Vantage Homes. Aka MrSunshine here on cd

Custom homes of rotunda is also very nice. Check out the model tour on the web site.

At that price point you're going to have a hard time finding a builder to build the house including the lot. Your best bet may be to go the way of the spec home. There is a company in Englewood/PC that offers homes on lots in that range. The company is TRB development. They buy up random lots throughout the area and build one of their 3 models on them. You basically get what they build, there's no design center to pick your cabinets, tile, finishes etc. Their entry level home is 1613 sq ft and is $215k . I checked them out for a family member in various stages of the construction process along with a realtor/builder and the quality was really a lot better than I thought it would be. Keep in mind, it's not one of Pete's Vantage homes, but you're looking at likely twice the money to go with a custom home builder like him. Home - TRB Development
