from the mid 70's until about 1990 it was 90% (104 in Albany NY)

pre 1985 or so, they were independent and they just did whatever they wanted to do, like sometimes forgetting to switch albums after a song and playing 2 or 3 tunes or even an album side. and every weekend, whatever albums were new that week, they were played in there entirety.

in Charlotte NC right now today might be the last great radio station, 95.7 the ride, are independent and they play all of there music in its original analog quality, they don't talk over the beginning or ends of songs, and there's no games or wacky promos or crazy moning shows they just play great music.

but the best part is the music, anything from Sam Cooke to Men at work to Led Zeppelin and everything in between. and they don't just play the same 5 songs from each artist over and over.

tons of b hits and c hits and many rare live recordings.

they played this the other day, so rare to hear it on the radio. but i always loved it
