The old KFJZ 1270 in Fort Worth and KLIF 1190 in Dallas were my favorite stations back in the 60s and 70s. Being somewhat superannuated (!), my favorite station now is WRR-FM 101.1 in Dallas (classical), partly because there is so little advertising.

My favorite radio stations from the places I've lived over the years:

WJET, Erie, Pa. I grew up listening to this Top 40 AM station. No idea what's on that frequency now.

CKLW, Windsor, Ontario. Everyone living along both shores of Lake Erie could pick up this Top 40 station.

WVUD-FM, the Voice of the University of Dayton. I knew those people!

WMMS-FM, Cleveland. Hugely influential in its heyday in the 70s and early 80s.

WOXY-FM -- 97X -- Oxford, Ohio, 1983-2004. One of the few commercial alternative rock stations in the country for quite some time. Made the leap from terrestrial to internet radio in 2004, and plugged along valiantly for a few years. Moved from Ohio to Texas and was shut down last year. So sad.

Ohiogirl81: I just thought I'd let you know that I picked up CKLW one night in DFW! It had a great signal.
