My favorite radio show is leaving the air at the end of August.....
just as I will be moving to the Cambridge area so I can walk by "Car Talk Plaza". (I know there really isn't a Car Talk Plaza, but I just wanted to pretend. )

I know, it's so sad! Their show and "Wait Wait don't tell me" are my regular Sunday afternoon peaceful entertainment.

I remember when that awful unfunny weasel Leno tried to get the brothers to come be on his show regularly, and they refused. Yay them!

I actually use their website cartalk.com to research car problems and new car reviews. Wonder if it will keep on keepin' on for a while?

Yes, they have 25 years or so of reruns and it is NPR's highest rated show so I think it'll be on for awhile. They are so funny and those accents..,,,,,,I hadn't realized that Click (or is it Clack ? ) was in his mid-seventies. I thought they were a lot younger.

I suppose A Prairie Home Companion won't be around much longer, either. Garrison Keillor hits 70 this summer.

I had no idea it was ending soon that is a huge loss. I grew up listening to it because my parents listened to NPR all the time and I still hear their show. (I'm in my early 20's) I also had no idea they were in their 70's! I thought they were in their 50's!

I listen to their show every Saturday, and I'm so sad to hear they'll be retiring <sniff sniff>. They always sounded like they were having so much fun doing the show...

Reruns will continue to air.

I remember listening one day, when they decided to do a Boston spelling test-- in reverse. One spells the word and the other tries to guess the word. You have to imagine this skit with their strong accents.

Brother #1: f-l-a-w-i-z

Brother #2: (thinks about it) Oh! Flowers!

I guffawed.
