I listened to TalkNet (mostly Bruce Williams, I think) with roommates in college in the mid 80s. I really liked it, and I''m bummed I haven't found anything else like it: Live, real-time participation from real people, no conspiracy nuts from either of the know-nothing fringes, just everyday people talking about everyday issues in a public space, reminding us that we have more in common with our average citizen than we often think.
I've kept my ears out for something similar, but have had no luck finding anything. (Which really doesn't make sense to me, what with all the podcasts out there these days, so I suspect inferior search tactics on my part are at least half the problem).
Anyone found a current podcast (or even better, a live streamcast) that is similar?
