Deeper playlists and less music from another genre crossing over into the "decades" channels would be better.
Also, these "single artists" channels are too much of a bad thing, the least they could do is alternate.
I drive 18-wheelers and the only reason I have it is because I don't want to be in the middle of a good song and have it fade out when going out of range.
So in other words, bring back XM the way it was before Sirius took it over. Right now, that would be the only thing that could ever get me back with them.

I had Sirius before the merger and the channel lineup was awesome with them as well.
Seems like two separate companies was better for each listener.
Now, we have reduced playlists, fewer channels, and then genres like Rock having more channels dedicated to it than the other ones out there.
I know I mentioned it the other threads, but it's better to pound away on it and think I got some heads to roll.
I bought a new car and a 90day trial of XM came with it. I like the service so far however when I checked on the pricing for XM radio it was fare more than I’d want to pay. Guess there’s a market out there if the XM price wasn’t so high.
It would be nice to have while on the highway in remote areas where local radio signals are poor or not at all. If it was a reasonable price for yearly service I’d keep XM however after 90 days it’s a goner for me.
We love it and have been subscribers for years, but with the downturn and all, it has been getting expensive and we are thinking of cutting it. I love their classical Pops channel and their kids place channel is unsurpassed. You will never see a kids channel on regular radio like this one. Educational AND fun.
Personally I had two vehicles I never listened tot eh radio at all. With XM :i now listen all the time;love it ans worth paying for compoared to commercial radio;IMO.Haven't bought a CD in three year now either.
now there shutting down there repeater network this year this outta be interesting
Very interesting, Ganto
Rather than compromising their reception and range quality, I would think they would be better served by improving their "broadcast" quality. I tend to lean towards Country Western Music and there's absolutely no need for a "Chatty Cathy" DJ on every channel. At times some of the DJ's babble so much I often wonder if I haven't been linked to an AM or FM Station.
DJ's are expensive and lots of money would be saved and music programming would be improved by eliminating most, if not all, of the DJ's. For those listeners preferring the chit-chat there is nothing wrong with offering one Talk / Music Channel for each genre.
Just how much is the average XM/Sirius DJ making anyway? I am not sure it is alot...
