I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM back when I was 14 - 15 or so (I'm 23 now). I guess it was easier to suspend reality back then. I don't listen to it now as Art Bell is gone, and I'm a little bit more skeptical than before. Plus I don't enjoy how it occupies practically EVERY frequency on the AM night dial.

The greatest show on the radio. I have no problems with George.

I like George as a host most of the time. However I get annoyed with some of the guests. I don’t care much for Maj. Ed Dames and his remote viewing. I believe that remote viewing can be done, however the last show Ed Dames seemed to pull off a harder to believe then ever case he was working on.

Default Coast

I agree with you on Ed Dames. I also don't like Whitley Streiber, or any of the guests who do predictions.

I listened to this show from the very start. I remember in the 1980s when it was a local show here in Las Vegas called "West Coast AM" hosted by Art Bell. It was on a booming signal (720 KDWN) that can be heard in several Western states. At that time it was a typical politcal show.but much more interesting than most. By the early 90s Art started talking about UFOs and metaphysical subjects. I remember one of his first affiliates was a station in Alaska and it soon went into nationwide synication after that.

I think George does a good job hosting the show. I will listen depending on the topic. I have no interest in UFOs or anything too scientific. The metaphysical topics interest me as well as anything related to the financial meltdown. Government conspiracy topics catch my interest as well. I don't believe it all but I love hearing non-mainstream opinions and ideas.

Gorge Norry reminds me of 'Daffy Duck'...he just does...I can never quite get into him...

Here's what annoys me about Gorge...
1. Sometimes he misses larger points and fails to ask the right questions that will or could reveal more...
2. He doesn't challange his guests or callers enough, when they make questionable statements...
3. He doesn't stand up for his supposed Catholic faith enough...
4. Sometimes he seems really disinterested in his guests...

But in all fairness...it must be hard booking new and interesting guests and topics 365 days of the year...
But Art Bell was always intriging to listen too...nothing got past him...if a guest ignored his question...are Bell would repeat his question and not stop until he got a satisfactory answer...

Art felt more like a wise grandfather...Goerge Norri feels more like a goofy uncle...

I'm more apt to get freaked out or scared when Art Bell hosts....

I remember once he had on a witch...or something...and they were playing demon summoning spells over the radio....I was nervious...cause I figured if indeed that stuff was true...if indeed there was a demon near by or whatever...that if it heard the radio chant...it might come alive...like the movie 'The Evil Dead'....

Favorite topics on Coast to Coast..
1. Witches and demons...talk of the dead...I like getting scared...
2. The talk of secret societies...and underworld plots...
3. When he has those super scientist on who talk about space physics..
4. Or when they just discuss history and where the world is headed...

Worse topics I don't like to hear on coast to coast
1. UFO's....to me that's so played out...give me some proof or lay off...
2. Big foot or Lockness monster...again, give me some proof or lay off...you mean to tell me a hound dog could not have tracked one by now...and how come big foot is the only life form on earth to avoid getting hit by a car?

3. Vitamins...infomercial type stuff or guests...
4. 2nd rate phycics...
5. guests who sound like they were previous callers...

The popularity of Coast to Coast has really gone down with the advent of all night sports shows and other such broadcasts...
I remember when Art Bell use to literally own the night...there was no place you could go or drive without getting a strong show signal on the am dial...
I miss those days...
