I hope new ratings systems ends morning DJs. These guys are without a doubt the worst people in radio. They tell inane jokes, have people call in to talk about inane things, and so on when they could play music. Now do you know who I do miss? The night time DJs who would throw in a comment like some sage older brother between the songs or who would take a call from a listener and then let others call in to give advice or vent their problems. These guys were true entertainers, and it sucks that they're gone while the AM guys survive. Sort of like how cockroaches are going to outlast all the animals that have any majesty about them.

I hope all morning shows end or at least the ones I hear here. They are so annoying. It doesn't matter if it's rock, pop, or country, they all have annoying radio DJ's. If the morning radio DJ's play more music than they do talk, then I'd be fine but all they do is play like 3 songs an hour and the rest of the time they take phone calls about stupid stuff, or celebrity gossip, or make silly jingles.

My best friend lives near New Haven CT. One day he was listening to some radio station in the morning, and they were having an interview with the state attorney general. According to my friend, the AG said he would not start the interview until the station played some Led Zeppelin because he thought the people wanted to hear more music in the morning.
