Unhappy condolences

Goldens are wonderful dogs. Had a female years ago and she was the best dog I ever knew.

Critters leave us so shaken when they go. I think our hearts just absorb the damage and we plod on through our lives, but always a little diminished after their departure.

The other Golden and the other dog stay really close by and are often under foot when I am home. I always promised to have a Golden Retriever and hopefully two.

Gosh, what a beautiful dog he was. Looking at the photo, it looks like he had a great place to "be a dog". Open spaces with lots of cool smells a neat things to chase. Bet he had a great life.

It does look like he had a great life with you. He looks like he was a happy dog. Take comfort in knowing he's still happy and not in any pain up in doggy heaven. I'm so sorry for your loss.

He was a fine looking Golden. I hope you're feeling better, although the loss will always be there.

My other Golden was over standing by where I buried him yesterday. She stays very close to me when I am home. It was moving

I think critters understand far more than we usually give them credit for.
