I had my sweet little Catfish PTS today. She was suffering from lymphoma and just getting more and more frail. This morning she jumped down off my lap and was stumbling so badly she couldn't make it to her water dish. She had lost a lot of weight in the last month or so and was down to 4.7 lbs. She has been blind since I rescued her as a small kitten and had a heart murmur, too. The cancer was just diagnosed recently.

I stayed with her while they gave her the injections and scratched her chin and told her how pretty she was. I will surely miss her.

So sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how your heart must be breaking. It sounds as if Catfish was one lucky cat to have you for her "mom". May the memories of your good times with her bring you peace.

My condolences. She was beautiful. Lymphoma is a dreadful disease but you gave her a wonderful home and will have many happy memories of her. RIP Catfish.

I'm so sorry for your loss of your beloved Catfish. What a beautiful little girl she was. 16 years is a testament to the loving care she received from you her whole life, and you didn't fail her even at the end, you showed your love by giving her the final gift, the biggest gift of love of all, the freedom from suffering, the peaceful dignified exit, in your loving arms.

I'm so sorry.
