Default RIP Sweet Pete

Had to euth my sweet German Short-haired Pointer, Pete, this morning. He had lost 20 lobs in recent months. Based on tests/scans, we think metatastic cancer of the spleen is the diagnosis. He was too emaciated to withstand a splenectomy (major surgery) and that would still leave the lymph nodes in the abdomen - they couldn't get all of them.

He is now running the great fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with his sister Alixe and so many other dogs we have known and loved.

So sorry for everyone's loss. Our pets become members of our family or at least they should. Reading this post and the responses put a big lump in my throat. Again so sorry for your pain of losing/missing someone you love.
