Default Zeus, the cat, has left us

We will miss you, little feller. You spent many good and happy years with us. You were all that we could ask in a friend and more. We wish we could have had more time with you, but we do believe we will all be together again. We wish you great happiness where you now are and it makes us happy to know that you are free of pain. It is so sad that this is the way of this world.

Thank you for all the joy that you gave to our lives. You are so very special, probably the smartest cat we ever had. You only had to be shown or told once and you caught on. You were such a complement to our little family and tried so hard to please us. You are a credit to the cat-people.

You will always be in our hearts.
We'll meet again soon.
Love, mom and dad

Thank you so much. We just got back from the vets. He was so sweet and I really believe he knew what was happening. He leaned up against me and started purring. The vet gave him the shot. Our lives have a hole in them now.

Thanks.

So sorry for what you're going through, but so glad you got that purr at the end. :-) He sounds like a sweetie. RIP Zeus!

You gave him a good home with lots of love so you know he's in a good place. It is so hard having to say good bye.

Thank you.
Yes, I think he knew and it was his goodbye to us.

Yes. It is difficult. Life, itself, is a hard thing. It seems so cruel to have us all die at different times, but of coarse, it is the most logical way, too.
I get tired of outliving my pets and going through this every fifteen or so years, yet it's better that we outlive them, I guess.
Thank you.

So sorry for your loss. I had to put my little mini dachshund down almost a year ago. It was the same with him. He hated the Vet normally. He had to be on prozac because he had such high anxiety. But, the day he was put down, he nuzzled me when I told him I loved him, and all would be okay. I kissed him, and he went off right away with the nurse....no crying or anything. I could not bear it...my heart broke, but he was so sick, it was ultimately better for him. I'm sure Jack will be on the lookout for Zeus, and will help him. RIP Zeus!

So sorry for your loss. I believe he is now running the great catnip fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with lots of new friends. My Buster was there to greet him. <<hugs>>

He sounds like a special boy, and you sound like special cat parents. I'm very sorry for your loss. RIP Zeus.
