I am also so sorry to hear of your loss & the circumstances surrounding it. I am going to post a link to the video dedication I made for one of my kitties who we put down last year around this time - I hope it helps even a little...

Peace be with you...

IT'S NOT EASY TO SAY GOODBYE

Aww . I'm so sorry about your loss. My Spidey passed away with the same thing. He was diagnosed nine years earlier, but after Katrina we lost all records and the vet. The "new" vet tested him and found he tested negative. We tested him twice more with the same result and I thought he was cured. Sadly, we learned that in the later stages feline lukemia can go "dormant." Bless your heart, it's so difficult to lose a fur baby. My condolences.

I'm so sorry Cecilia. I know about feline leukemia.

I had one cat, that we found, and we had him for about 3 years. When we first got him, I had him vaccinated and tested. He was positive for the leukemia but he was a great cat, sweet, obedient, beautiful, the best. You would have never believed he had the leukemia but he started getting very sick towards the last 6 mths of his life and we did everything possible for him. One day my ex got home and found "Butterfinger" under the bed, still warm.

Now I have 5 cats, two of which look almost identical to Butterfinger, so one is named Butterscotch and the other is Freddy. Well, Freddy is just like Butterfinger, almost, but I am really thankful to have all my kitties.

I'm truly saddened by your loss. Losing a dear pet is a terrible thing.
