A neighbor dabbles in metalwork and has promised to etch (weld) a headstone for Weasie into something. It's one of those things that keeps getting put off. But I know, with plenty of proof in the form of unexplained occurrences, that the spirit of my unforgettable feline took flight from her ravaged and defeated body at the moment she departed this life. She couldn't care less what her human does to memorialize her here on Earth. In the meantime the ugly urn holding her ashes is settling into the flowerbed where it was interred. There it will stay, even when the day comes when I no longer call this address home. For all but the first 4-5 months of her nineteen-and-a-half years Weasie called this house, yard, and neighborhood her territory. So it's only right that her physical remnants stay at rest where they are - and that a small marker will signify their location.
