This was taken in the early summer this year, he was feeling quite well that day and it is how I like to remember him, in the dog park. He was a sweet, gentle, funny dog who loved the cats and liked to tease. My hope is that he didn't suffer much in the past few months and had some joy.

Love his heart....and yours for helping him over the bridge when he probably needed your helping hand the most ever. That is undoubtedly one of the hardest things in the world to do - and one of the most selfless and loving gestures we can offer our furkids who have loved us with all their hearts for all their lives. Help them make it home safely, painlessly, in the arms of someone who showed them the love and tenderness that gave them the reason to wiggle and pant and run and jump for joy every single day. He was a handsome little man and I know you miss him already - and I am really sorry for your loss today. Remember him how he was - that's the way it should be.

So sorry for your loss. I believe he is now running the great fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with lots of new friends. My Pete and Alixe were there to greet him. <<hugs>>

Smile Running over the bridge

If he loves to run, he's met my Murphy (02/18/2013), Pepper (06/26/2005) and our dear Rascal (05/11/2001) - all loved to run and play, play, play and we think of them every day.

Your guy was such a handsome guy too - I'm sure he's made lots of friends already.

Thanks Bette. He used to escape when he was a pup and run all over the neighborhood, fortunately we lived in a semi rural area and there wasn't much traffic. He had a great sense of humor and was one of the gentlest dogs I've ever known.
