They named their dog after Buffy's doll from Family Affair?

As a child I always found "Family Affair" to be sad, because they didn't have a mother. I think the doll's name was Mrs. Beasley.

RIP Miss Beazley.

I thought both Barney and Miss Beazley were adorable. I'm wondering ifthis type of cancer is common in Scottish terriers, as I believe Barney died of the same thing.

Trying to be funny or just honest ignorance?
(The dog was named for a character in the children's book, "The Enormous Egg"---Mrs. Bush is a librarian)

RIP, little dog. So sad--I had 4 pets die within a 2 year span, & the very kind veterinarian told us that it wasn't uncommon to lose pets in a short period, since we tend to get them all about the same time.

^^^Why do you have to say that person is ignorant? I thought the same thing when I saw the dog's name. Never heard of the book you mentioned & how would people know what or who they named their dog after? Jeez.

Cute dog unfortunately it looks exactly like my landlords dog & I can't stand that dog. But, the death of a pet is very sad.

Well, ignorant certainly does not mean "stupid". And it was well-publicized in the media regarding the inspiration for the dog's name.

Any other questions for me?

Now back to the original thread-----

Yes, Barney and Miss Beazley both died of lymphoma.

They were such sweet, little dogs and I enjoyed watching them in the White House.

Loved this Christmas card!

My heart goes out to the Bush family. Losing a pet can be so heartbreaking.
