We had to have our 14 year old collie euthanized yesterday. She had been having hip problems and stumbling for a few years and was on many pain medications. She managed to break her hip and femur and at her age was not a good candidate for surgery. Our vet gave us the options and after considering quality of life, decided to let her go. My other collie misses her but I know she is playing with our other dogs who have gone before her and we will see her again at the Bridge.
So sorry for your loss. I believe she is now running the great fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with lots of new friends. My Alixe and Pete were there to greet her. <<hugs>>
So sorry for your loss. Our Jedi left us this morning. He lived with us and our 2 collies so he'll be happy to join Stacy in some collie fun in heaven.
it was so painful to bring my cat in to be put down. we all wish our pets could have a peaceful death. my cat was not the same cat when she was put down.
