My Ming kitty crossed the bridge yesterday morning. The last of our three pets. They all had good long lives, and no major pain or illnesses.

Now it's just my husband and myself feeling the pain - good thing we've got each other! And I know that we'll reach the point with Ming where we can relive the good memories without the pain... just like we have with the other two.

So - to Ming kitty, Alex kitty and Madison pup - we love and miss each one of you, but know that you are now chasing each other around and feeling frisky again!

She was 16 years old. Slowed down a bit the last year, but would still run like a crazy kitty around the house or up the driveway. Went down quickly the last month.

She absolutely loved people.

Thanks everyone - I always thought she was beautiful also, but then we're always biased for our own!

As you should be.
My heartfelt condolences for your beautiful girl's passing. Those little furballs really latch onto our hearts, and it's so very hard when they have to leave us. Hugs going out to you.

Run free at the Bridge, sweet Ming.

It sounds like you're adjusting just fine, but remember there's no timetable for mourning. That house will sometimes feel empty when you least expect it. Nostalgia can be like that. Been there, and will go there again.

Ain't THAT the truth! After a year and a half I still cry. OP, what a cute kitty, sorry for your loss. We will see them again one day.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I'm going to start looking for an orange rose to put in the garden. And on a slight tangent, I just remembered I have a house plant I bought a few years ago from Home Depot only because it was called a Ming Thing. It gets a front row seat now!
