God Bless Scooter..my best friend...
On May 20th, 2008 my best friend Scooter, a yorkshire terrier was put to sleep. he had been going downhill for a couple of weeks and I was always afraid to come home from work to find him gone...however, there was always a waggy tail and lick and then back to sleep...he was 13 years old and I knew it was coming as he had an enlarged heart and was going into kidney failure..I took a picture the day we put him to sleep and we went out and sat in the garden and he sniffed the air and gave me kisses while I fed him marshmallows ( his favorite) and when i put him to sleep he was snuggled in my arms...The vet sent me his paw print in clay with his name stamped on the bottom...I will treasure it always...
I miss my best friend...

I'm so sorry you lost Scooter. It's a hard thing to face. We lost our Ceaser May 22nd, 2008 and it tore us apart. Like Scooter, Ceaser had many serious health issues at 13 1/2 years old. He'd been in and out of the vets for months and had been on lots of meds and treatments. The decision to let him go was just heartwrenching but, he was no longer enjoying life. I do understand, Ceaser was my constant companion. God Bless you for being a wonderful parent to Scooter.
Our Ceaser was a rescue, a finer animal I've never known. We have decided that we are going to have another dog as we just can't bear the emptiness in the house. I hope you find a new sweetheart when you're ready,.. all my best to you.

Aww, I'm so sorry for both you guys. Last time I checked on here, I gave reps to everyone who'd lost their pet. That is until I got cut off for 24-hours for giving too many reps out, it was strange. I am not very good with condolences, and a rep is all I can really offer you. Best to you folks...

What is a rep??? Sorry about everyone's pets, I lost mine 4-1-08. Even tho they are sick, putting them to sleep is the most trying thing I ever did. She had cancer so on the outside didnt act too badly, but wouldnt eat, just layed around, and started coughing very badly all nite. I have been destraut for twomonths now but finally am better I guess. I should have replaced her sooner from the shelter and I would have been healed by now.
