Default A Beautiful Goodbye

This is a short article about an old rescue dog. I thought I'd share this, because I found it very touching. I hope everyone who goes through the loss of a pet realizes that they are not alone.

I prefer "adios" to goodbye. We will all see our beloved pets again.

Wow, just what I needed, something else to make me cry! That was lovely, a tribute to a beautiful dog by someone who loved her very much. Thanks for posting it.

Although I read the forums regularly I never clicked on the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure glad I did. Beautiful story. I took in a beautiful Calico female cat late January, she was just sitting in the middle of the road. I had her spayed mid-February. Last week she was sick, took her to the vet, she had Feline Leukemia. They had to put her to sleep. Seems to me the vet who spayed her should have noticed something. The other vet who put her to sleep sent me the beautiful Rainbow Bridge saying. Avid lover of all animals here. Have loved and lost so many; they are all in my heart and I know they are waiting for me to one day join them. Thanks for posting that link. I'm so glad that for the last 5 weeks or so of her life she had a good, warm, loving home and didn't die all alone.

Alaskapat,
You made her last days joyful ones. Whatever had happened in her life before disappeared when you took her in. She knew she was loved. Good for you. And she will be waiting there with all of our friends for you to find her again.
