I invite you to visit the memorial page I made for one of my dogs, and scroll down to "Living Love". Be sure to have tissues, you will need them. You may want to print Living Love, and read it through from time to time. I assure you that someday, you will reach "the fourth day", and you will find peace as well...

Living Love
If you ever love an animal, there are three days in your life you will always remember...
Thank you. That is absolutely beautiful! You are so right about the three days. Beautiful Memorial!

You have my deepest understanding and sympathy. Take care. And like someone else here recommended, do read the Rainbow Bridge. I have it printed, framed and hanging in my house. It helps.

I'm so sorry for your loss...you did the right thing to end her pain. I see so many dogs suffering in my line of work, because their owners can not let go, and it hurts so much to see them like that. Hold the happy memories close and know that you will see her again. You're in my thoughts & prayers...

Our dog had cancer, he could not get up on his own so we had to let him go today. He was the sweetest guy. I am devastated but we know he is in a better place. god bless you all.

I think we all agree that having to say goodbye to our babies is a very difficult thing. Things are never the same again, no matter how many months or years pass.

I think one of the best ways to deal with grief like this is to bring another baby into your life (not right away, though). I can tell you from experience this was a hard thing to do, but eventually the energy and love you spent with your past baby(s) can be resurrected! Nothing can take their place, but another baby can be so comforting.

There are so many precious animals in this country that need to feel the love of a human. And, so many humans that could benefit from the unconditional love of an animal!
