I had a cat who was a little sick, throwing up and hiding away but the vet didn't see anything. Then he died in my arms and I had a necropsy done. It was cardiomyopathy, probably from a virus befdore I adopted him. The vet said the only way it would have shown up would have been to do an ultrasound. So sorry about your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard enough when you know they're sick and you try to prepare...but when it is so unexpected without any warning...there are just no words for that. Sending hugs to you and your family.

No matter how short or long our time with pets, it's hard to lose them. I'm sorry you lost your buddy. Remember the fun times!

I was saddened to read what happened to you and Nappy. You should have had a lot more years to share together. I can't help but think he died in a way that was more peaceful for both of you than a mad dash to the vet with all the associated anxiety he would have suffered compounding your loss. We don't know what is going on sometimes and some animals will hide and not want to be bothered when the are injured or sick.
