It is such a terrible experience to have been there yet not able to save your cat's life and I sympathize.

Unfortunately the only safe place is to keep them indoors but they so enjoy sitting out watching what goes on around them, munching some grass, taking a dust bath or hunting birds and you would think this should be safe on your own porch or in your yard but not necessarily.

I wish you well as you grieve your loss of Ka.

In my belief system, he is now running in the great catnip fields of the sky, happy and whole, with lots of new friends, many of them my late cats. So sorry for your traumatic loss.
