ak,
You have my deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear buddy, Bugsy. What a great little guy! And what a wonderful long life he had. It is never easy, and the choice you had to make is a tough one, but the compassionate one. Know that it was the loving thing to do. Take care.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Bugsy...what a beautiful little dog, I just love Boston Terriers, they have wonderful temperaments and are great companions. I'm sure it was the most difficult thing to have to let him go after 17 years, and you're right, no matter how long they are with us, it never seems like long enough. Bless you for giving him those years and take comfort in the fact that he left this dimension with dignity and unconditional love. It takes time, but it will get easier...my heart goes out to you!

When I get another dog it will be a Boston Terrier, since Bugsy was the best. His ashes rest in a shelf in our living room. I still miss him greatly.
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. You will see your friend Bugsy again in Heaven, so please let that console you through these difficult times. I know how you feel. My beloved cocker spaniel Nellie left this world in April of 2008, and I still think of her many times every day.

My prayers are with you. You did the most loving act you could for your friend, and I truly believe they take that love with them. I know how difficult it is, yet in my heart, I believe that they are now in a wondrous place that keeps them forever young, healthy and happy.
