Just saying a quick prayer here for my friend's pup, Jasper. He had surgery for cancer and is pretty sick... Feel Better Jasper!

I found this quote a few years back, soon after my first Shepherd had to be put down.
It also relates to the human counterpart as well.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory no one can steal".
Bob.

Have had it bookmarked ever since the death of my beloved "PeeWee", who passed away from feline megacolon six years ago. I found it comforting again two years ago, when "Tiger", her "big brother" died
at the ripe old age of 22 from cancer.

Wonderful.

my buddy of 14 years, Winston, crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on 8/31. Hardest thing I ever had to do, but he could no longer walk, refused all food or water. He knew for sure. Still sucks though.

Hope I see him on the other side in 40 years or so.

Goodbye Emmy. For 17 years you loved us and we loved you. You protected my wife, played with my children. You were silly and feisty and loyal and a really good dog. See you on the other side sweetheart.

I loved you so much little Toby-lobers. It's been 7 months since you left us and I think of you everyday. I'm so sorry. I should have told you I was sorry when we were saying goodbye to you at the petER. I am still so sorry.

I heard what sounds to be a variant of the "Indian" remarks:

When you arrive at the gates of heaven, all the animals you have ever loved come running to greet you.

The reaction: of joy!!
