Orea has made her journey across the Rainbow Bridge. My heart is broken. Two nights ago, she slept on my pillow with me as she has done for years. In her last hours, every time I petted her, she purred and wiggled her tail, even as I wrapped her in her blanket for the Final Ride. My sister drove us and stayed with me, and I am ever so grateful, as I couldn't have gone alone. It is a rare sunny day, and the Room was filled with sun. She passed peacefully in my arms, in the sunshine she loved so much. My grief is overwhelming to the point of pain right now, but I know it will get better. Thank you all for the support you've given me in my other thread. It means the world.
I was thinking of you both today...knowing today was the day. My heart just aches for you, for I know the pain so well. Sending hugs across the miles. ((hugs))
I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I know what it is like, as I had to have my Siggy euthanized recently. A terrible day. But at least Orea's suffering is over.
God bless you and Orea. They take a piece of your heart when they with you, don't they. Please rest your soul knowing she is happy and well loved, and can't wait to see you again.
(((tight hugs)))
