Hi, I have read some old threads but I am really needing to find a good dermatologist to take a look at some new moles. I'm not picky as far as location or gender....I just want someone who is thorough and knowledgable; and someone with a nice bedside manner would be great!

Thanks for your help and recommendations!

I use Dr. Kulp on Cary Parkway close to Preston. I think he is the best Dermatologist I have had, and think he might have caught several per cancer issues before the got out of hand. He is not a cosmetic type Dermatologist, as you see with the Botox users, but if the issue is related to a skin problems or skin cancer he could be you best choice.

if you have concerns about moles or family history of skin cancer, you may want to consider getting a molemapping done. I know they do this at Duke but you need a referral, but it tracks moles over time and a good way to have a baseline snapshot of what the moles look like for the record to compare to if you think they are changing. There are a lot of great docs in Raleigh but my family (for past 50+ years) always goes to Duke and because we go there first some things have been caught early and resolved. Good luck~
