So I got a bad rep from someone for typing the above statement, pretty crazy huh? This was the comment they wrote to me
"purposely misleading ~ just beacuse you decided to move here you don't have to be so doom and gloom. Random acts of violence have little if anything to do with Population growth. It happens everywhere...including Maryland"
First off I decided NOT to move to NC. And I do believe that someone stated earlier that crime has risen in Cary in the past year. And yes acts of crime come with the growth of population. The bigger Raleigh and Cary get, the more crime you are going to see.

Go figure, My best friend gets murdered in Medford on Long Island and it was the last straw for us, so we move to Cary just to see this happen down the block from our apartment complex. just happens they are from NY too. Well I have a red sedan with NY plates, hopefully my wife won't get pulled over and harassed over this incident. At least we're obviously Caucasian so maybe we won't be bothered, the last thing we need is traffic tickets, just so cops can have a reason for pulling us over or something.

Wow...not a cool statement, but your opinion nevertheless. I can respect that. With that being said "It's the New Yorker's bringing their crime from their boroughs to Cary"...go ahead and agree. At least others that are obviously natives don't have to be bothered. One generalization leads the way to another. Go figure.

I meant that I read that the perpetrator was supposedly of African decent, and I am not, so that I wouldn't get mistakenly pulled over by local cops. There was nothing racist about my post. English isn't my native language, but I didn't think that I posted anything offensive.

Huh? The woman was putting a bag in the night depository. Hardly a random act. You might as well have a big target on your back.
This is a risky job duty to be saddled with - in any town!

What a tragedy for her and her family.
