Default Biochemistry degree seeking Job Oppurtunities

Hello,
I was wondering if I can get some input from some locals in the triangle area. I am 22yrs old and just graduated with a BS in Biochemistry and I am looking to relocate to tht Triangle area for job oppurtunities. I currently live in noth east Pennsylvania, where I have oppurtunities for jobs in Philly, but I really do not enjoy that city much. So I was wondering if anyone can give me input on the desirability of my BS in Biochemistry is in the area. I do not have any industry experience, but have participated in some toxicology research work at my school. I am really interested in getting my foot in the door within an industry setting, whether it is in pharmaceutical, environmental, or even inorganic chemistry.

I would appreciate some feedback as to where I would stand with my degree and how readily you think I would be able to obtain a job.

You might be able to get a lab tech job. Look at some of the environmental consulting companies in the area and see if they are hiring for any entry level positions. Also, you might want to register with a placement company, like Kelly Scientific.

I know a lot of the BCH graduates from NCSU tried to get jobs at Glaxo. Perhaps you can try there? The interview process is pretty in depth though.

There's a company in Perimeter Park (Morrisville) called Environmental Research Group. Not sure what they have available.
