Aside from Crystal Palace Asian buffet, is there a restaurant near Raleigh (give or take 1-1/2 hr drive) that serves all-you-can-eat crab legs? (similiar to what can be found in Calabash, NC or Myrtle Beach)
We used to go out for all you can eat crab legs until I tried making them at home. Much more affordable!! All you need is a big pot, a steaming basket in the bottom, a little water and then dump in those crab legs. Harris Teeter has them on sale all the time. It only takes about 2-3 minutes to steam em. Melt some butter in the microwave and you're set!
I've seen a place on 421 in Sanford that has all you can eat crab legs on Friday and Saturday nights. US1 South to 421, make a left at the bottom of the exit, and it's on the left hand side. Couldn't tell you the name of the place, but it's no more than 300 yards off the exit.
Grand Asia is good and they have good sushi and all you can eat crab legs.
Also, you don't need to cook King Crab or Snow Crab, you just need to heat it up. They are all sold pre-cooked. Crab deteriorates quickly after it dies, you can never cook a dead crab and eat it. You have to cook crabs while still alive. So when you buy crab at the store that is NOT still moving, you just heat it up by steaming or boiling quickly, then eat it. Live crabs are a different story, but you cannot buy live king or snow crabs anywhere (except maybe in Alaska) - they are huge creatures.
