Default Hairstylist in Wake Forest or North Raleigh

Does anyone recommend a good hairstylist or salon in either WF or North/Northeast Raleigh? I need someone who will not comment on my scalp problems. I had a perm a while back and it did damage to my scalp. I am on medication for it, but I need a haircut and style BAD! If I can get my hair straightened that would be great, too, but I may need to wait until my scalp problem clears. Also, if the sylist has a discount for teachers that would be great, too! THANKS!

I think stylists are trained to pick up on skin/scalp problems so that they can tell the individual just in case the person is not aware of a condition. I know that lots of times it's a haridresser who notices a spot that turns out to be skin cancer, and it's caught in time. So, you can easily give the stylist a heads up about your scalp condition, and that will eliminate any need for her (or him) to be concerned or comment on it since you already know!

I just had my daughter's hair cut (and my sister has gone there as well) at creative shears in downtown wake forest. One stylist and her husband is the barber. She gave my daughter (and sister) a great cut. We have received many compliments on it and she was wonderful to work with.

My sister's cut was 25 bucks, which seems reasonable to me!

I know this was posted a while ago, but I thought I'd add to it anyways. I just moved here in May and started working at a brand new salon in historic downtown Wake Forest. The salon is called Salon One/21 and Color Bar and is absolutely beautiful and everyone I work with is great at what they do. I am sure that anyone here or myself, would be tactful and kind about anything that you may be embarrassed about- or just don't want to talk about. Anyways, good luck and I hope you found a great salon already- but if not, check us out! ---Manda

Wake Union Church Road across from Hampton Inn and Briggs. I think it is called The Haircut Place. Betsy is real nice and cuts some nice hair! I am going with my wife and daughter for cuts this Saturday
