All awesome ideas! So glad I made this thread . . . I knew you guys would have fantastic ideas.

I love the Hillsborough idea! My husband was a history major, and I love old houses and such, so I think that would be super fun walking around downtown there and seeing all the historical houses and such. And I've heard about the wineries around Mebane and that sounds fun too -- as long as the wines aren't all that gooey sweet wine that some local wineries like! I like my wine dry, not a fan of the sweet wine. But I love going to wineries, so that would be fun regardless of the sweetness

Vicki, that definitely sounds like us! I am trying to find a happy medium between my romantic ideal day and his lazy, beery, sexy day!

I'm also going to look at that Raleigh festival online and see if that's something we'd like to visit. I've looked at the Jordan Lake tours before, and they seem a bit expensive for just 2 people. I might save that one for a day when we can double with another couple

I was thinking the same thing! I though . . . . "This poor dude is going to get dragged to some antique shops all day, have a lunch at some cafe where they serve sandwiches with the crusts cut off, have to get dressed up with a tie to go to dinner, . . . . . .when his idea of a perfect day would be to sit on the couch with a beer, watching the game, a plate of wings nearby, and his wife in her sexiest lingerie providing halftime entertainment."
